AI Transparency Disclosure

How we use AI, how we review it, and what the EU icons mean — in plain English.

Official EU AI Label This icon marks AI-assisted content across our website.

Our AI Content Policy

At ROA Marketing, we use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to help research, draft, and structure our articles. Every piece of content goes through a human editorial review process before publication. Here's exactly how it works:

1. AI-Assisted Research & Drafting

We use AI models to gather information, analyse trends, and produce initial drafts. This helps us cover more ground faster and deliver up-to-date content on PPC, SEO, and digital marketing.

2. Human Editorial Review

No article is published without human review. Every draft is checked for:

  • Factual accuracy — numbers, benchmarks, and claims are verified against real data.
  • Practical value — we remove fluff and add real-world context from our own campaign experience.
  • Clarity & readability — we rewrite confusing passages and add examples.
  • Originality — we ensure the final result is unique and not a copy-paste of existing content.

3. Editorial Responsibility

Rogozan Oliviu-Alexandru, founder of ROA Marketing, holds full editorial responsibility for all content published on this website. You can verify this on our author page.

EU AI Act Compliance (Article 50)

The European Union's AI Act (Regulation 2024/1689) requires deployers of AI systems to disclose when content is AI-generated or manipulated. Specifically, Article 50(4) covers:

  • Deep fakes — AI-generated or manipulated image, audio, or video content that resembles real persons, objects, places, or events.
  • AI-generated text — published to inform the public on matters of public interest, where no human editorial control was applied.

Why We Still Label Our Content

Under the AI Act, content that undergoes human editorial review and where a natural person holds editorial responsibility is exempt from mandatory labelling. Our content falls under this exemption.

However, we choose to label our content with the EU AI icon because:

  • Transparency builds trust. You deserve to know how content is made.
  • It's good practice. The EU encourages voluntary labelling even when not strictly required.
  • It sets a standard. As AI becomes ubiquitous, clear disclosure should be the norm, not the exception.

The EU AI Icons We Use

We use the official EU AI icons developed by the European Commission. These icons are freely available for anyone to use and were designed to help people recognise AI-generated or modified content at a glance.

Icon When We Use It What It Means

Basic AI Icon
On every blog article and tool page where AI was involved in content creation. "AI was involved in creating this content, but it has been reviewed by a human editor."

Fully AI-Generated
We do not use this — it applies when content is 100% AI with zero human editorial control. "This entire content was generated by AI with no human review."

Partially AI-Modified
We do not use this — it applies when pre-existing human-made content is modified by AI (e.g., face swaps). "This human-made content was partially altered by AI."

Where You'll See the Icon

The EU AI icon appears on every page across our website:

  • At the bottom of every blog article — right after the content, with a clear explanation.
  • On every tool page — same banner disclosure.
  • In the website footer — on every page, linking back to this transparency page.

The icon is embedded directly in the HTML (inline SVG), so it stays visible even if you save the page, print it, or share it.

Accessibility

We follow the EU's accessibility recommendations for the AI label:

  • The icon is in a clearly visible size (not hidden or tiny).
  • The accompanying label uses plain language — "AI-Assisted Content" instead of jargon.
  • The icon includes ARIA labels so screen readers can announce it as "AI content disclosure".
  • The disclosure remains visible for as long as the content is accessible.
