Policy Manager (Google Ads)
Policy Manager is a centralized tool within Google Ads that allows advertisers to view, understand, and resolve policy-related issues affecting their ads, keywords, and campaigns. It surfaces ad disapprovals, policy restrictions, and account-level flags in a single dashboard, replacing the older model of discovering policy violations by manually reviewing individual ad statuses. Policy Manager categorizes issues by severity and provides specific explanations of which policy was violated and how to fix it — whether the issue stems from ad copy, landing page content, offer claims, or restricted-industry requirements. Advertisers can appeal decisions directly through the tool when they believe a disapproval was made in error. Policy Manager also tracks the status of pending reviews and historical policy decisions, making it an essential operational tool for advertisers in highly regulated verticals such as legal, healthcare, and financial services where ad policy compliance is an ongoing requirement. Proactive monitoring of Policy Manager helps prevent campaigns from being paused or limited due to accumulated policy violations that go unnoticed, and is a standard part of any agency or in-house PPC maintenance workflow.
